Our client, Qatar's leading integrated transport solutions provider -- is seeking an experienced and proactive

Service Expert

who will be responsible for overseeing the fleet-wide operational activities to ensure safety, reliability, and achievement of New Energy bus service standards.

Role Overview

New Energy vehicles are driven by electricity, natural gas, hydrogen, biodiesel or a combination of fuels. The Service Expert will also require responsibility of the maintenance of ICE vehicles that are maintained in depots where the majority of vehicles are alternative fuels. This role requires a highly skilled and innovative individual who possesses in-depth engineering knowledge and can analyze complex engineering and operational issues to make informed recommendations. The SMAF will provide multi-disciplinary technical advice for fleet-wide engineering and maintenance programs, establish fleet engineering and maintenance standards through the review of fleet performance audit data, and commission engineering studies and technology application projects to enhance fleet reliability and maintainability.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering and maintenance management, preferably in the automotive or transportation industry. Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams. Strong knowledge of bus systems and components, including air-conditioning, brakes, drivetrain, electrical and electronic systems, and engines. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for bus engineering and maintenance. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to complex operational issues. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets for engineering and maintenance activities. Exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on team development and mentorship. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
