Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella - SALT, Switch, Parker's, Grind, Somewhere and Public.


We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Senior - Signage and Space Transformation who is responsible for planning and implementing signage and spatial transformation projects that enhance the aesthetics, functionality, and brand identity of physical spaces. This role involves working with clients, architects, designers, and contractors to create visual solutions that align with company or project goals. The specialist ensures that all signage projects, from wayfinding systems to branded environments, are executed efficiently, meeting both creative and practical requirements while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Implementation:

1. Develop creative signage concepts and spatial design solutions that enhance the visual appeal and functionality of interior and exterior spaces.


2. Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and art directors to understand spatial needs, brand identity, for signage and space transformation projects.


3. Create detailed designs for signage systems, including directional signs, wayfinding, informational graphics, and promotional displays

Execution and coordination:

1. Plan and oversee spatial transformations to optimize the use of space, enhance customer or visitor experience, and reinforce brand messaging.


2. Manage the end-to-end process of signage and space transformation projects, from concept development to installation and post-project evaluation.


3. Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors to source materials, production, and installation of signage solutions.


4. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Branding and Visual Identity:

1. Ensure that all signage and space designs align with brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in colors, fonts, logos, and messaging across different physical environments.


2. Work closely with the marketing and branding teams to incorporate corporate identity into the design of signage and other space elements.


3. Ensure that the signage complements the overall brand experience and customer journey within the space.

Quality Control and Maintenance:

1. Oversee the quality assurance process for all signage and space design elements to ensure high standards of production and installation.


2. Conduct site visits during and after installation to ensure proper placement, alignment, and functionality of signage.


3. Develop maintenance plans for signage to ensure long-term durability and functionality, including updates or repairs as needed.

Budget and Cost Management:

1. Prepare and manage budgets for signage and space transformation projects, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.


2. Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best materials and services are procured at competitive prices.
