The sales engineer will be responsible for developing and growing the sales activities for laboratory water purified systems; gaining new contracts in order to increase the profitability for the business. Main interface shall be clients from municipal and industrial sectors. Sales engineer will be responsible for negotiating and finalizing the main contract and will work with the service team for its execution.
The main responsibilies include but not limited to :
Responsible for ELGA LabWater sales in UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman territories), achieving targets set together with management.
Generating own leads and qualifying them into potential sales opportunities using direct sales techniques including visiting clients, telemarketing, and cold calling
Establishing relationships with new clients and maintaining long-term relationships with existing ones through frequent calls and visits
Identifying and developing new business opportunities in line with the company's strategies and goals
Maintain good knowledge of competitor strategy and activity to identify new areas of business growth.
Responsible for promoting and representing the company products professionally to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
Managing and interpreting client's requirements and needs, and addressing them swiftly
Preparing and costing technical-commercial proposals to clients and optimising consumables and spare parts requirements
Negotiating proposals with client including its terms and conditions
Managing the sales pipeline with the company's distributors in different territories and following up with them to achieve their sales targets
Handling and managing the required support from the distributors in different territories
Attending site inspections or meetings with the service team, when required
Working closely with service team once purchase orders are issued to ensure proper handover is provided for each contract, including the follow up on equipment installation, commissioning, start-up, and client training
Coordinating deliveries with logistics team and inspection of materials prior delivery
Coordinating with client and service team for any unit troubleshooting
Coordinating with clients for payments and collection once materials are delivered and service completed
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of purified water treatment experience, specifically for laboratory analytical equipment and tools.
Fluent in English
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service related background
Proven experience in sales
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability and willingness to work in and lead cross-functional teams
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
Experience of using CRM software or similar.
Strong organization and time management skills
Customer focus, clear thinker, and detail-oriented
Ability to multitask, provide direction, and address service request issues.
Ability to travel
