Job Description
Our Multi National Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dubai to work on build, fit out and refurbishment projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a good mix of pre contract and post contract Quantity Surveying experience ideally with a recognised consultancy company background. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, MRICS would be advantageous This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed with our client. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Contract
- Project Budget services (direct, indirect, margins, markups and overheads).
- Feasibility studies (cost per key, cost per m2 etc.);
- Cost Planning and estimating (BCIS and NRM1);
- Value Engineering, cash flow forecasts, Whole Life Costing, cost risk management;
- Bills of Quantities production (NRM 2, POMI and CESSM3);
- Tender services including compilation, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations;
- Contract drafting (FIDIC).
- Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs;
- Interim valuations and payment certificates;
- Variations analysis, recommendations and management;
- Risk and value management and cost control functions;
- Costs analysis project work;
- Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks;
- Preparation of progress/ cost reports;
- Reporting to Senior Commercial Manager on all commercial issues;
- Understanding the implications of authorities regulations and health and safety regulations;
- Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager
- BSC in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution preferred
- MRICS is preferred
- Experience in new build, fit out and refurbishment projects is a must;
- Minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 post graduation experience;
- Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 UAE, experience in a recognised cost consultant or PMC Company
- Knowledge in the use of QS software or similar is required;
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
- Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
