Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engineering
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) for the High-Rise project, aligning it with local regulations and international standards.
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures, including inspection plans, test protocols, and documentation requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites, materials, and equipment to verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and address any quality-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
- Manage and supervise a team of QA/QC inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the QMS through regular audits, evaluating performance against established benchmarks and implementing improvements as necessary.
- Prepare and communicate quality reports, highlighting key findings, trends, and areas for improvement to project management and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to railway construction and quality control.
- BSc/MSc in Quality Management, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or closely related subject
- 15 years+ post degree experience in Quality (QA/QC) Management/Engineering on major infrastructure projects
- Knowledge/awareness of ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems)
- Experience working internationally is preferred (MENA ideally)
