Wood is looking for Senior Procurement Specialist to support one of our client projects, this role is to be based in Dubai, with occasional trips to Iraq.

Wood is looking for Senior Procurement Specialist to support one of our client projects, this role is to be based in Dubai, with occasional trips to Iraq.
- Undertake Procurement of \xe2\x80\x9cLong Lead\xe2\x80\x9d items including ITB, Evaluation, Purchase Order and Post Order Management
- Support all on-going project Procurement activities as required
- Report to Procurement Manager and assist with any other tasks as required
- Liaise with client appointed Freight Forwarder
- Produce Expediting Status Reports
- Prioritise Purchase Orders that require Expediting
- Contact vendors to establish the status of a Purchase Order
- Continually provide projects with feedback on the current delivery status of a Purchase Order
- Perform site visits when required
- Notify project personnel of any potential \xe2\x80\x9cslippages\xe2\x80\x9d to the agreed schedule
- Negotiate improved delivery / recovery plans when required
Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum of 8-10 years experience in procurement on large EPC projects in the oil and gas industries
- Previous Middle East experience is esential
- Previous Maximo, SAP and Oracle experience is required
