Job Purpose

Provide MEP Engineering (HVAC, Fire Protection system, Plumbing, Electrical, Utilities) design, engineering and projects support being Subject Matter Expert in the discipline to deliver project and business objective. Lead and develop MEP Engineering standards, processes, procedures and guidelines to ensure reliability and integrity of assets.

Principal Accountabilities

Projects
Lead conceptual, FEED and Detail design of HVAC, Fire Protection, Plumbing, Drainage System, Electrical, meeting design intent, ensuring compliance to safety, integrity, sustainability practices and statutory requirements.
Ensure review process is in line with Stage Gate project life cycle processes.
Lead MEP Engineering by approving Design, Calculations, Analysis, Engineering Specifications & Data sheets, Collection of input data from Site/Operations.
Analyse any changes of engineering scope and assess impact on cost and schedule.
Lead MEP team for project planning and assist the Project Team in discussions with the clients about technical matter for MEP activities.
Assess MEP engineering activities in preparation of project proposals, including estimates for engineering staffing, quantities, scope review, schedules, design elements of all bids and identifying technical risks.
Develop HVAC and Utilities in accordance to ASHRAE/BS standards pertaining to specific Discipline Engineering Design, Manufacturing, Inspection, Testing, Installation & Commissioning practices.
Review / preparation of MEP calculations, Sizing and selection of various MEP equipment\'s.
Review / prepare detailed MEP layouts, calculations, control schematics, piping schematics, P&ID\'s, section layout details etc to suit project requirements.
To assist in achieving Green building certifications for project team including coordination, submission &follow-ups to authorities like UPC, DM, LEED.
Develop Fire Protection, Drainage and Plumbing design calculations in accordance to BS standards.
Develop and/or coordinate electrical supply, distribution, lighting, earthing systems designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, datasheets, etc.
Develop specific Discipline Engineering deliverables such as Heat Load Calculation, HVAC Equipment Selection, Make-up air calculation, Ducting Design & Layout, Piping Material Specification, HVAC Control System Logic, Development of Piping Layout Drawings, Piping General Arrangement Drawings, Piping Isometrics, Valve Data Sheets, Material Take-off, Drainage plan & layout drawings.

Additional Principal Accountabilities

Experience

Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in MEP and nine (9) years of experience in applying the discipline skills in the oil and gas industry.
Understanding of a wide variety of the discipline\'s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Strong leadership skills, analytical skills, and an awareness of business.
Proficient in office productivity tools such as the MS Office suite of products and Adobe Acrobat.
