Senior Manager Leadership Positioning

Job Description

Our client, a dynamic government company, is looking for a Senior Manager for their corporate communications team in Abu Dhabi. The role is to shape the profile and voice of the company\'s leadership, both domestically and globally

Role:

- Develop, lead and oversee the positioning strategy of leadership, including the delivery of all leadership-related external communication activities and initiatives
- Execute the leadership positioning and content creation for Chair, CEO, and other leadership. This includes but is not limited to opportunity identification and due diligence, speech writing, media coaching, event curation, ghost writing, etc
- Actively pursue opportunities to strengthen leadership profiles in existing areas of operation, and identify new relevant and appropriate of board positions, affiliations, influencing, etc
- Establish and distribute public communications to protect and promote the reputation of leadership(e.g. media releases, speeches, newsletters, social media communication, etc.)
- Oversee and monitor all media engagement needs for leadership including interviews, press conference and coverage reports ensuring that proper outreach of leadership messages
- Promote leadership purpose on social media through managing social media content creation and monitoring and escalating any red flags that can harm leadership reputation
- Act as an advisor to Department Director and other organizational leaders across other functions to support in all external communication activities as needed

Requirements:

- Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the strategy, strategic communication, public relations, or corporate communications industry
- Proven experience as an in-house or consultant of public affairs/communications/public relations
- Demonstrable experience in managing engagement with stakeholders at the senior government / ministerial level
- Proven experience in partnership development, programme management, communications and/or public relations
- Strong record of leading successful strategic planning and positioning outputs delivery
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal, formal and informal
- Strong cultural awareness
- Ability to understand the local and regional geopolitical context, as well as new concepts quickly across a variety of fields (education, government policy, etc.)
