. The ideal candidate will lead the estimation and tendering process for large-scale, multi-storey building and infrastructure projects. This role demands advanced knowledge of cost analysis, construction techniques, and regional regulations, with the ability to manage complex bids from pre-tender to submission.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze tender documents, architectural and structural drawings, and project specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and rate analyses for labor, materials, and equipment.
Lead the pricing strategy for large-scale, high-rise, and infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to gather relevant data for estimation.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance.
Prepare tender submissions, including technical and commercial proposals.
Identify and assess commercial, technical, and contractual risks during estimation.
Review and update historical cost databases and estimation standards.
Participate in value engineering and cost optimization discussions.
Attend pre-tender meetings, site visits, and post-bid negotiations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Required).
Minimum 10 years of experience in estimation and tendering for civil construction.
Holder of an
Unlimited Floor License
(Required).
Proficient in estimation and quantity surveying tools (e.g., Candy, CostX, MS Excel, AutoCAD).
Strong understanding of regional construction market rates, standards, and regulations.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional estimation teams.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
Preferred:
Experience in high-rise buildings, infrastructure, and large-scale mixed-use projects.
Knowledge of local authority procedures and approval processes.
Familiarity with FIDIC or other standard contract formats.
