Job Description

To lead and manage the preparation of accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids while complying with company standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Tendering & Estimation:

Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil works, including earthworks, concrete, steel, finishing, and infrastructure. Analyze and interpret technical documents, BOQs, and contractual conditions.

Cost Analysis & Pricing:

Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare rate analysis for materials, labor, and equipment. Ensure accurate pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and company objectives.

Risk Assessment & Value Engineering:

Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies. Suggest cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality or compliance.

Coordination & Communication:

Liaise with project managers, procurement, and design teams for technical and commercial clarifications. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare tender submission documents, including technical and commercial proposals. Maintain updated cost databases and historical records for future reference.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 8-10 years in estimation/tendering for civil construction projects in the UAE/GCC.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Candy CCS, Primavera, MS Excel). Strong knowledge of UAE market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Soft Skills:

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

Familiarity with FIDIC and local contractual practices. Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
