Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for engineering projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as proficiency in various engineering software tools. The Estimation Engineer will collaborate with project managers and engineers to provide comprehensive estimates that align with project specifications and timelines.

Duties

Develop detailed cost estimates for engineering projects, including materials, labor, and overhead. Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimations. Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and MATLAB to create schematics and designs. Conduct root cause analysis to identify potential issues affecting project costs and timelines. Engage in project scheduling to ensure timely completion of tasks. Analyze electrical systems and components including PCB, SoC, and programmable logic controllers. Implement signal processing techniques and utilize tools like SystemVerilog for system design. Perform debugging and testing of systems using various programming languages such as Python, C++, and Perl. Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes including surface mount technology and soldering techniques. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards such as NEC and best practices in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in estimation or a similar role within engineering projects. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and simulation tools (Simulink). Familiarity with FPGA design, quantum engineering concepts, and vision inspection systems is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret complex schematics. Excellent analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
