Key Responsibilities:Joinery & Fit-Out:

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for fabrication and installation. Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood, laminates, MDF, and other materials as per project requirements. Fabricate custom furniture, cabinetry, doors, panels, partitions, and decorative woodwork. Perform precise installation of joinery works on-site, ensuring alignment, durability, and aesthetics. Handle repair, refurbishment, and modification of existing wooden structures and furniture. Ensure all joinery and fit-out works comply with quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.

Upholstery:

Carry out furniture upholstery tasks, including cutting, stitching, padding, and fabric/leather covering. Repair or refurbish upholstered items, ensuring consistency in finish and comfort. Work with various fabrics, leathers, foams, and other upholstery materials as required by the project.

Team & Project Coordination:

Lead and supervise junior carpenters, providing guidance, training, and quality control. Coordinate with project managers, interior designers, and site supervisors to align carpentry tasks with overall project schedules. Monitor material usage and request supplies in advance to prevent delays. Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and proper use of carpentry tools and machinery.

Quality Assurance & Reporting:

Conduct final inspections of completed joinery and upholstery works to ensure client satisfaction. Identify and troubleshoot defects or issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and project completion reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in joinery, fit-out, and upholstery (preferably in interiors or furniture manufacturing). Strong technical knowledge of carpentry tools, machines, and materials. Ability to read and execute CAD drawings and technical plans. Leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills. High attention to detail, craftsmanship, and finish quality. Good physical stamina and adherence to safety protocols.
