We are seeking an accomplished Senior Banker to lead our Institutional Clients Coverage efforts across the Middle East, with a strategic focus on Governments, Central Banks, and Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs). This leadership role requires deep market insight, high-level client connectivity, and the ability to originate and deliver sophisticated cross-asset investment banking solutions tailored to sovereign and quasi-sovereign entities.

The ideal candidate will combine extensive execution experience with a proven ability to cultivate C-suite relationships across public-sector institutions, contributing meaningfully to our franchise growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Client Coverage: Develop and implement a forward-looking client strategy targeting public-sector institutions, including Ministries of Finance, Central Banks, and SWFs.

Relationship Management: Establish and maintain high-trust relationships with senior government stakeholders, including central bank governors, ministers, and sovereign fund executives.

Product Origination: Originate and structure innovative investment banking solutions spanning Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Structured Finance, Liability Management, Derivatives, Advisory, and Asset Management.

Cross-Platform Coordination: Partner with internal teams across Markets, Investment Banking, Treasury, Asset Management, and Transaction Banking to deliver seamless client solutions.

Thought Leadership: Provide strategic advisory on sovereign financing needs, macroeconomic positioning, capital structure, and market access.

Regulatory Navigation: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regional and international regulatory frameworks, ensuring risk-informed decision-making and compliance.

Execution Oversight: Lead the execution of complex transactions, including pitch development, deal structuring, financial modeling, and documentation in collaboration with global and regional partners.

Key Qualifications

Experience: 12-15+ years in Institutional, Investment, or Corporate Banking with a clear track record of managing sovereign and quasi-sovereign client relationships in the Middle East.

Product Expertise: Broad, hands-on experience across a full range of investment banking products, including DCM, ECM, project finance, derivatives, and advisory.

Client Network: Pre-established and trusted relationships with key stakeholders across Ministries, Central Banks, SWFs, and government-related entities in the GCC and wider MENA region.

Regional Expertise: Deep familiarity with fiscal policy, political economy, and regulatory environments influencing public finance in the Middle East.

Leadership & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills; proven ability to lead engagements and communicate effectively with senior decision-makers.

Language Skills: Fluency in English required; Arabic highly desirable.

Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced qualifications (MBA, MSc, CFA) strongly preferred.
