Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accountant 3-5 years minimum who can independently set up and manage the full accounting function of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UAE financial regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to implement efficient accounting processes without the need for supervision or guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Operations

Establish and manage a complete accounting system from scratch, including chart of accounts, reporting templates, and internal procedures. Oversee all incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accurate recording, approvals, and supporting documentation. Manage daily accounting activities including payables, receivables, reconciliations, and expense tracking. Prepare monthly management reports, cash flow statements, and project cost analyses. Maintain control over budgets and forecast financial performance.

Process Setup & Improvement

Create clear, efficient accounting workflows for approvals, vendor payments, and expense tracking. Implement internal financial controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance. Standardize document filing (digital and physical) for easy reference and audit readiness. Recommend and integrate suitable accounting software or tools to streamline operations.

Compliance & Regulations

Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT laws, corporate regulations, and WPS requirements. Prepare and file VAT returns, coordinate with auditors, and maintain accurate records for inspections. Keep updated with government financial regulations and adapt processes accordingly.

Banking & Coordination

Handle banking operations including transfers, deposits, cheques, and online payments. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and management for payment schedules and financial reporting. Support management with financial insights and assist in strategic decision-making.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of solid accounting experience, preferably in the UAE. Proven ability to independently set up and manage accounting systems. Strong understanding of UAE VAT, WPS, and compliance processes. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar). High integrity, attention to detail, and hands-on problem-solving attitude.
