Job Description

We are supporting our client, a Dubai-based family office, in hiring an experienced Senior Accountant / Finance Lead to manage accounting, tax, and reporting across a group of entities.
Accounting

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping in Zoho Books (or similar) for multiple entities within the Group
• Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes and maintain complete and accurate ledgers.
• Ensure proper documentation of invoices, contracts, receipts, tax files, and audit trails.

Tax/Corporate Tax

• Own all VAT and Corporate Tax processes for the assigned entities.
• Review and file all returns on time, ensuring correct treatments and full supporting schedules.
• Maintain a clear tax calendar and ensure no deadlines are missed.
• Prepare and organize documentation for FTA queries, reviews, and audits.

Reporting

• Prepare monthly management reports, including: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Variance analysis vs. budget, Commentary on key movements, risks, and insights
• Maintain weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts for priority and non-priority entities.

Process
Document and improve SOPs covering:

• Bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Client and vendor invoicing
• VAT and Corporate Tax
• Month-end close and reporting
• Collaborate with the Zoho expert to automate recurring workflows and reduce manual errors.

Leadership

• Supervise and review the work of junior accountants.
• Partner with Account Managers to ensure accurate accounting and tax treatment of all business activities.
• Communicate proactively with management to ensure transparency and avoid surprises.

Requirements

• 7-12 years of accounting/finance experience
• Strong UAE experience (mandatory).
• Proven hands-on experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience working with multi-entity structures (holdings, SPVs, family groups, etc.).
• Prior involvement in external audit preparation.
• Strong understanding of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs.
• Solid working knowledge of the UAE VAT and Corporate Tax framework.
• Experience designing and managing charts of accounts and tax mappings.
• Proficiency with Zoho Books (or similar cloud accounting tools) and Excel/Google Sheets.
