Position Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records Handle month-end and year-end closing processes Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in filing VAT returns Assist in budgeting and forecasting Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation Liaise with auditors for annual audits and support internal/external audits as required Review and improve financial procedures and internal controls Supervise and support junior accounting staff, if any Manage accounts payable and receivable functions Prepare financial analysis and management reports for senior management

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA (preferred) Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or ERP systems) Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT laws Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal skills
