Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
Set clear KPIs and performance expectations, supported by regular reviews and coaching.
Provide training and guidance to enhance product knowledge, negotiation skills, and overall efficiency.
Foster a high-performance, target-driven culture within the team.
2. Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth objectives.
Monitor
market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements
to stay ahead of the competition.
Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management for sustainable growth.
3. Client Relationship Management
Build and strengthen long-term relationships with
contractors, developers, architects, consultants, and interior designers
.
Support team members in high-value negotiations and project closures.
Ensure excellent customer service standards, promptly addressing client concerns and needs.
4. Recruitment & Team Development
Recruit, onboard, and train new sales professionals.
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
Organize regular training sessions and team-building activities to enhance engagement and performance.
5. Business Development
Identify new opportunities for business expansion within the construction and building materials sector.
Collaborate with the marketing team to strengthen lead generation and brand visibility.
Work cross-functionally with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth project execution.
6. Sales Reporting & Analytics
Track sales performance and present regular reports to senior management.
Maintain accurate records using CRM tools and analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Implement corrective actions to improve sales effectiveness.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a
Sales Manager
or in a leadership role within the
building materials / construction industry
.
Strong knowledge of
project sales
for building materials (tiles, marble, paints, lighting, sanitaryware).
Excellent
leadership, communication, and interpersonal
skills.
Ability to motivate and guide a sales team to exceed targets.
Proficiency in
CRM software
and sales reporting tools.
Strong
negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making
skills.
Bachelor's degree in
Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or a related field
(preferred).
Valid
driving license
(preferred).
