To generate new business and manage existing accounts within the freight forwarding and logistics sector, promoting air, sea, and land freight solutions, as well as value-added services. The role focuses on achieving revenue targets, building client relationships, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in air freight, sea freight, land transport, and supply chain services.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets.
Generate qualified leads through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
2. Client Relationship Management
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
Conduct regular client meetings to understand evolving needs and offer tailored logistics solutions.
Handle client inquiries, quotations, and follow-ups in a timely and professional manner.
3. Sales Operations
Prepare proposals, pricing, and service agreements in line with company policies.
Coordinate closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and CRM updates.
4. Market & Competitor Analysis
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
Recommend service enhancements and pricing adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
5. Performance & Reporting
Achieve assigned revenue and gross profit targets.
Submit weekly and monthly sales reports to management.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, shipping, and logistics processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Strong problem-solving skills and customer-oriented approach.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 2 plus years' sales experience in freight forwarding and logistics.
Existing client network in shipping and logistics (advantageous).
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
