Job Purpose:
To drive technical sales and business development for solar EPC projects by identifying client requirements, delivering tailored solar energy solutions, and successfully converting prospects into signed contracts. This role serves as a key interface between engineering, finance, and customer engagement, promoting solar adoption across commercial, industrial, and government sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate potential opportunities for solar EPC and lease/PPA projects within the industrial, commercial, and governmental segments.
Lead client engagements from initial consultation and technical assessment through to proposal development, negotiations, and contract finalization.
Coordinate with engineering and design teams to prepare layouts, BOQs, and ensure regulatory compliance documentation is in place.
Present solar leasing models (e.g., zero upfront cost, pay-as-you-save structures) and explain relevant regulatory programs such as DEWA Shams Dubai, ADDC, and SEWA.
Manage the complete sales cycle: from lead generation and qualification to proposal delivery, deal closure, and project handover.
Facilitate internal risk assessments, approvals, and client onboarding processes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with energy consultants, facility managers, sustainability officers, and key financial decision-makers.
Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, regulatory changes, and competitor activities within the UAE/GCC solar market.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in solar sales for EPC and/or lease/PPA models.
In-depth understanding of PV systems, net metering schemes, grid integration, and both CAPEX and OPEX financial models.
Hands-on experience with local authority approval processes (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, SEWA).
Familiarity with structuring PPAs, client-side financing options, and energy cost modeling.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Expertise in technical sales of solar PV projects
Strong knowledge of PV system design and simulation tools (e.g., PVsyst)
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
Proficiency in proposal development and professional presentations
Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
