Purpose of the Job:
To generate and manage sales opportunities in the
Energy and Utilities sector
through regular
field visits
, technical consultations, and project follow-up. This role involves direct interaction with contractors, consultants, utilities, and end users to promote company solutions, identify needs, and close deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular
field visits
to existing and potential clients, job sites, and project offices.
Promote company's
power and energy solutions
, including switchgear, transformers, panels, and cabling systems.
Identify and develop new project opportunities in the
utilities, infrastructure, and industrial sectors
.
Build and maintain strong relationships with site engineers, project managers, procurement teams, and consultants.
Collect and understand site requirements, prepare technical proposals, and coordinate with internal teams for pricing and solution finalization.
Monitor ongoing projects and ensure early involvement at
pre-tender and design stages
.
Follow up on quotations, conduct technical discussions, and assist in negotiations.
Report site activities, client interactions, and competitor updates to the sales manager regularly.
Ensure customer satisfaction and coordinate after-sales support when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
.
3-6 years
of experience in
field sales
, preferably within the
power, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
.
Strong knowledge of
electrical products/systems
, particularly related to distribution networks, substations, and industrial power supply.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, SLDs, and BOQs.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with a client-facing personality.
Must be comfortable working
on-site
, often in construction or industrial environments.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
