We are looking for an energetic and customer-focused Salesman to join our retail team at Book Corner & Funzone. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store standards, and delivering an excellent shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance.
Understand customer needs and recommend suitable books, toys, games, and gift items.
Maintain product knowledge of all store categories.
Achieve daily/weekly sales targets.
Handle billing, POS operations, and cash/card transactions accurately.
Ensure shelves are fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and displaying new stock.
Manage inventory and report low-stock items.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store at all times.
Support in-store promotions and merchandising activities.
Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements
Previous retail sales experience preferred (books/toys industry is a plus).
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
Must be flexible to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
