Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Functional Accountabilities
- Be responsible for delivering consistent guest satisfaction that exceeds expectations and meets required standards and lead by example.
- Supervise all employees and ensure that they receive adequate and ongoing training to perform and to improve performance on their duties.
- Supervise, coordinate and facilitate the daily operational requirements of the Pool Operations team by setting and allocating work priorities to ensure all customer needs are met and that the pool readings are as per regulations.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints and review feedback to continually improve processes and service.
- Direct the use of facilities to all pool visitors.
- Ensure that all supplies and assets are stored securely and properly accounted for.
- Ensure that all reported hazards are reported and controlled as soon as possible and patrons warned of their existence.
- Appraise the performance of supervised staff and provide counsel and feedback to ensure organisational and personal development objectives are achieved. Ensure knowledge transfer to the team by conducting regular trainings.
- Ensure Malibu Pool’s objectives are being met in terms of emergency response preparedness, safety and security for staff and guests.
- Ensure regular and proper maintenance of operational assets and facilities is maintained by implementing maintenance audits and schedules.
- Ensure the sanitation and cleanliness of the Malibu Pool area is maintained to the highest standards by conducting regular checks and implementing cleaning schedules.
- This role is responsible for routine day to day decisions; matters of a more complex nature are referred to the Assistant Recreation Manager or Spa Producer.
- Ability to deliver efficient and effective service to customers and manage conflict resolution effectively
- Identify customer service needs and implement solutions
- Maintain relationships with key customers in area of expertise
- Ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly communicated
- Respond proactively to changing circumstances and adjust plans and schedules when necessary
- Holder of Health and Safety Certificate
- High School Diploma
- Lifeguard certificate- to be able to cover lifeguards if necessary
