The Harley-Davidson Dealership is in search of a dynamic and customer-focused individual to assume the position of Motorcycle Rental Operator and Motorcycle Service Advisor. This role primarily revolves around overseeing motorcycle rental operations, ensuring an outstanding customer experience, and also providing support as a Service Advisor for approximately 30% of the time. The ideal candidate should possess a deep passion for motorcycles, exceptional communication abilities, and a firm dedication to delivering top-tier customer service. Responsibilities in the Rental Operator Role: \xef\x82\xb7 Interact with customers to respond to inquiries and address any concerns related to their reservations or rental vehicles. \xef\x82\xb7 Manage paperwork, including the collection of signatures and the scanning of IDs to ensure compliance with local regulations. \xef\x82\xb7 Explain insurance coverage, including deductible requirements and the availability of optional coverage for an additional fee. \xef\x82\xb7 Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper condition before being handed out to customers and upon their return. \xef\x82\xb7 Coordinate with auto repair shops to schedule maintenance or repairs for vehicles. \xef\x82\xb7 Collaborate with the dealership management team to conceive and execute strategies aimed at increasing revenue in the rental and service departments. \xef\x82\xb7 Foster and maintain relationships with local motorcycle clubs, tour operators, and event organizers to generate leads for both rental and service opportunities. \xef\x82\xb7 Identify prospects for cross-selling and upselling rental and service offerings. \xef\x82\xb7 Analyse market trends and study competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge in the motorcycle rental and service industry. Responsibilities in the Service Advisory Role: \xef\x82\xb7 Assist the Service Department Manager in maintaining an efficient and customer-centric service department that consistently achieves high levels of customer satisfaction. \xef\x82\xb7 Become proficient with all aspects of the computer systems essential for service management. \xef\x82\xb7 Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients. \xef\x82\xb7 Handle customer complaints with empathy and a positive attitude, demonstrating our commitment to "Making Things Right." \xef\x82\xb7 Support the service manager in enhancing overall service department processes continuously. \xef\x82\xb7 Ensure technicians optimize their productivity (time spent on jobs) and efficiency (task time) by assigning tasks within their area of expertise during peak periods and providing training to enhance their knowledge and speed during slower times. \xef\x82\xb7 Keep customers informed of any expected delays due to additional necessary work. \xef\x82\xb7 Maintain service and technical qualifications by completing any required training programs assigned by the Service Manager.
