Share: share to e-mail ISP Regional Head of After School Activities (ASA) Purpose of Role The Regional Head of After School Activities (ASA) role is a critical role within the regional team with responsibility for managing a full P&L, with financial, strategic and operational responsibility. The role is responsible for ensuring optimisation of facility usage during and out of school hours, as well as enhancing and improving the financial operations and governance of the school environment. The Head of ASA is responsible for the effective smooth running of the various activities within the After School programme . The role will oversee operations, planning and developing programs that provide immense value to participants as well as increase profitability by promoting the ASA programmes within each of our schools and the local area. ISP ASA Key Responsibilities
Direct and lead the team in becoming the best provider for after school activities in the catchment area
Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities in order to fund operations, maximize investments, increase revenue and improve efficiency
Prepare and present reports concerning activities, expenses, budgets, government statutes and rulings, and other items affecting businesses or program services to Regional Office
Direct and coordinate activities with businesses concerned with planning, pricing, sales, and/or distribution of programs
Negotiate or approve contracts and agreements with third party vendors where required
Develop annual budgets for approval, including those for funding and implementation of programs
Analyze operations to evaluate overall performance in order to meet objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program/revenue improvement, or policy change
Schedule and monitor continued training seminars for staff on various operational, safety, and legal responsibilities
Strong team leadership and ability to coach, mentor, train and develop team members.
Support with Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) tasks if they require additional support.
Other duties and responsibilities Skills, Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree in business management, sports management, Sports, marketing, hospitality, food and beverage, related field, or equivalent experience Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience leading a venue operation including P&L responsibility
Prior responsibility/experience in daily P&L management and budget oversight responsibility of AED 4 million or greater
Proven experience in organizing, booking, and operating sports tournaments, after school programmes and events; including but not limited to basketball tournaments, volleyball tournaments, and similar activities
Experience working with conferences & performing arts, regional sports commissions, and/or regional event management booking
A dynamic, positive approach to deliver the regional vision for ASAs
Self-motivation and ability to take initiatives
Good knowledge of school operations
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff
Organization skills: well organized and able to prioritize tasks and workload
Customer service
Ability to negotiate, persuade and motivate others
Demonstrated competency to use computer applications related to the role, including word processing and spreadsheet applications
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Internationally minded with ability to travel regularly in the region to visit schools and ensure operations are working as planned
