Inspire Selection are working with a multinational manufacturing company to source a Regional Compliance Director to be based in Dubai, however, this role will require bi-monthly travel to Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities
Assist the Group Compliance Department in ensuring that the Middle-East subsidiaries (UAE Sales Offices and Operations in Saudi Arabia) are in compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory standards, and adhere to the guidelines and corporate policies set by the Group, related to anti-corruption, antitrust, data protection, duty of care, international sanctions & export control
Assist the Group Compliance Department, at Middle-East region level, in managing and preventing compliance risks
Act at the representative of the Group Compliance Department within Middle-East subsidiaries
Assist in the effective deployment of the compliance program in all Middle East subsidiaries
Adapt and design specific compliance controls (internal and accounting) and verifications (due diligence) dedicated to the prevention of corruption and influence peddling and deploy them across the Middle East entities
Analysis and permanent monitoring of national and international applicable regulations, the publication and updating of local internal procedures and the monitoring of their application within the Middle East entities
Interaction and close collaboration with all other functional departments of the Middle East Region
Guiding the Middle-East subsidiaries toward the best practices of corporate governance, ethics and Compliance
Verification of the effectiveness of compliance & anti-corruption controls & procedures, as set by Group Corporate, within all Middle-East entities
Training and communications for employees on topics related to compliance within Middle-East region
Requirements
Higher education degree (Masters) in Ethics & Compliance, White-collar crime, Corporate Liability, International Business Law, Finance or Internal Control/Audit
Undertaken training dedicated to Anti-Corruption Compliance or Internal Control
10 years of professional experience within a Compliance department of an international company or within an international law firm
Demonstrable training or experience in business criminal law
Significant professional experience either in the Middle East or managing Middle East activities
Excellent investigative, analysis and communication skills
Fluent in English / Arabic
