The Regional Sales Director has accountability to lead and develop the sales team and will drive the orders growth of Systems and Software across the Western Region. Driving strategic region development plans in collaboration with the BU MEA and Global organization. This will require creative thinking, driving for results, flexibility and an understanding of the cultural and business norms in the Region. The Western Region (Saudi Arabia and Bahrain) is a key growth region for Systems and Solutions and provides a large portion of the revenue and growth potential. The area will continue to receive investment based on its strategic importance and growth potential. This is a meaningful role at a critical time in the development of the business and the organization. The successful candidate will craft and drive our future in Saudi Arabia and in doing so will contribute to the cultural transformation of Emerson. We are looking for a leader to work with a diverse and proficient group of people that are energized and passionate about being the best that they can be. The Leader will own the transformation of the Systems and Software organization. The team will to the #1 Market Position across all segments within the next 5 years. The role has high visibility Globally within Emerson and has the potential to achieve outstanding results.
Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Lead Business Unit sales & business development initiatives across the West region
  • Meet or exceed territory financial objectives required in support of the SYSS MEA business plan
  • Provide strong management and leadership to the direct sales reports and Develop the Region’s sales organization.
  • Collaborate with and support sales representatives
  • Personally drive strategic pursuits.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for projects. Maintain an accurate project pursuit list and provide monthly reports and forecasts to leadership.
  • Prepare and present marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, competitor intelligence and country marketing plans
  • Collaborate with other Business Units and improve pull-through content
  • Work closely with proposal generation group to ensure all offers reflect customer needs, are forecasted, competitively priced and are submitted on time.
  • Improve customer satisfaction by finding solutions to their needs
  • Take a pro-active role in working with the Emerson Global Project Pursuit Team and Key Account Managers to identify, qualify and pursue control system projects to achieve order conversion and increase the potential for all Automation Solutions products and services.
  • Develop long-term relationships with senior management within customer accounts to ensure awareness of the capabilities of Emerson Process Management.
  • Promote the business benefits of Plant Web and Wireless to customers.
  • Profile accounts and establish a clear understanding of business pans and process control requirements.
  • Capture customer key business drivers and ensure inclusion within Emerson proposals.
  • Improve revenue and profit from the existing installed base.
  • Formulate market position and growth strategy over the next 3 years in line with new product delivery and changing market dynamics.
  • Actively drive collaboration with WA Sales and Businesses
  • Lead and Exceed DE&I Targets and Support DE&I Initiatives in the region
  • Drive and achieve Safety Targets and Own Safety Culture
What do I need to be considered for this role?
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (engineering degree desired)
  • 12-15 Years direct sales and sales management experience in the Middle East
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth
