We are seeking an experienced and skilled Reconciliation Officer to join our team at IIQAF. The role of the Reconciliation Officer is to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts, customer issues and disputes. You must have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to proactively identify issues, strategies, trends and opportunities.
Responsibilities
Perform reconciliation activities, including validation of customer information, account verification and reconciliation of open items
Monitor accounts on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reconciliations and adjustments
Proactively identify and investigate discrepancies
Resolve customer inquiries and disputes in an effective and timely manner
Reconcile and collect payments, including checks and direct deposits
Maintain accurate documentation and records of customer transactions and reconciliations
Prepare reports for monthly/quarterly close
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance or a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger reconciliations and reporting
Proven problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other accounting software
