Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets at various project stages. Conduct feasibility studies and cost benchmarking. Prepare tender documentation and evaluate tenders received. Advise on procurement strategy and contractor selection. Administer and manage contracts, including measurement and valuation of works. Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions. Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports. Identify cost variances and provide recommendations to mitigate overspending. Prepare interim valuations and final accounts. Assess contractor and subcontractor payment applications. Identify and manage project risks related to cost and contract issues. Evaluate variations and claims, ensuring accurate cost tracking. Advise on cost implications of design and scope changes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, AIQS, CIOB) preferred. Minimum [X] years of experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Excel and cost management software (e.g., CostX, Candy, BuildSoft). Strong communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
