Quantity Surveyor - Interior Fit-Out

Project Manager

Job Purpose:

To manage all costs relating to interior fit-out and renovation projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. The QS will seek to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents. Evaluate tenders and provide detailed cost analysis and recommendations. Prepare and monitor budgets for fit-out projects. Manage project cost control, including tracking of variations and cost impact. Conduct site visits to verify progress and ensure alignment with cost plans. Prepare interim and final valuations, including payment applications and subcontractor certificates. Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for pricing and scope alignment. Prepare and review contract documentation, including subcontractor agreements. Monitor project progress and advise on any financial risks or concerns. Ensure compliance with contractual terms, timelines, and budget controls. Provide commercial advice and cost guidance to the project team. Maintain updated records of project financials and documentation for reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the

interior fit-out industry

. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing. Familiar with FIDIC and other relevant contract types. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS software such as CostX or Candy. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
