Success in the Dubai fit-out market is won or lost at the bidding stage. We are looking for a sharp

Civil Estimator

to join our pre-contract team. Your goal is simple: ensure our bids are razor-sharp, our quantities are flawless, and our supplier network is the most competitive in the city.

Core Responsibilities

Detailed Take-offs:

Transform architectural layouts and RCPs (Reflected Ceiling Plans) into precise material counts using AutoCAD and MS Excel.

BOQ Development:

Build comprehensive Bills of Quantities covering everything from gypsum partitions and luxury flooring to custom joinery and MEP provisions.

Market Intelligence:

Constantly engage with a database of local suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best "back-to-back" pricing.

Tender Management:

Own the submission process--ensuring all technical and commercial documents are compiled, formatted, and delivered before the deadline.

Variations & Change Orders:

Support the site team by quantifying project variations, ensuring no "extra work" goes unbilled.

Site Inspections:

Participate in pre-bid site visits to identify logistical challenges (access, working hours, site conditions) that impact pricing.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.

Experience:

1-3 years within the UAE fit-out sector. You should already know the difference between "supply-only" and "supply-and-install" rates in the local market.

Tech Stack:

Excel:

(Expert level) - You should be comfortable with complex formulas and pivot tables.

AutoCAD:

Proficient in extracting data from 2D/3D files.

Measurement Tools:

Experience with PlanSwift or Bluebeam is highly regarded.

The "Fit-Out" Eye:

A solid grasp of interior materials (veneers, stones, glazing) and the labor hours required to install them.

Communication:

Ability to negotiate with suppliers and present findings clearly to the Management.
