PURPOSE OF JOB: The Quantity Surveyor assists Project Manager teams with preparing BOQ, sending enquiries, prepare Comparison, PMR Meeting and Project coordination. He organizes projects with the goal of getting them completed on time and within budget. PROJECTS SCOPE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing Bill of Quantity as per approved shop drawings.
- Sending inquiries to the Contractors & Suppliers related to the requirement on Fit-out works and follow up the same for their quotation.
- Make cost comparative analysis / approval requests (to management) for required project related items. Approvals for foreign materials should be made as per the mentioned foreign currency rate available on the same day of approval request.
- Coordination with Stores and Contractors for arranging Mall permits and requesting the same to PR dept for Arabic NOC and police permit application
- Coordinate with Maintenance service provider and retail shops for obtaining Contractor details of passports, Trade Licenses, labor Cards, etc., Mall approvals for said Dept.\xe2\x80\x99s related night works.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff regarding temporary storage or removal of received/ shipped consignments at the same. Arrange required documents (if required) for delivery/ transportation of the same.
- Preparing Procurement Tracker for all the projects to be updated every week and be used as guide for all the team members to track each material required for the project.
- Coordinate closely with LIWA Project Dept. in relation to shipping orders (from UAE to abroad and vice versa) getting information (ETD & ETA) and maintain records of the same including Proforma Invoices, etc.
- Arrange to send sample boards, lighting materials, wood & tile samples, etc. to foreign suppliers, Brand principals, etc. through LIWA LOGISTICS and keep track of the same \xe2\x80\x93 along with required documents as instructed by LIWA LOGISTICS.
- Preparing Snag Completion Certificate drafts for all completed projects and ensure all fully signed by the contractor, project managers and brand managers.
- Preparation of transmittal sheets for the materials/ samples given/ received from the Brand/Contractors/ suppliers.
- Arrange petty cash, IOUs including payment requests of Suppliers/ Contractors (local and foreign) acquiring approval from PM, Brand Managers and Accounts for each payment.
- Arrange travel bookings for Project Manager\xe2\x80\x99s Business Trips, leave Schedules and inform related Dept. of the same via email.
- Take calls of Projects Manager (in his absence) and inform him of the same through a diary or via email. Calls from top-order management require to be immediately conveyed to aforesaid personnel.
- Schedules and follows up all Maintenance request.
- Arranges Mall permits, police permit and security guards for all the contractors.
- Responds to daily emails.
- Keeps record for shop closure and current retail shops in UAE
- Checks retail shop handover documents receiving and saving them on system in Project folder and maintaining the hard copy file in store. Reviewing Project Handover documents submitted by the Contractor to be filled properly and ensure everything is complete for Project Manager final review.
- Prepares Closed stores \xe2\x80\x93 Pull out material list for the closed stores to be reviewed together with the Site Supervisor to ensure all the materials can be located.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by the management from time to time.
