Quantity Surveyor cum Interior Designer -- Furniture Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Quantity Surveyor cum Interior Designer

with expertise in furniture manufacturing and interior fit-out, who can also take on the role of

Supervisor Carpenter

. This unique role requires managing design, estimation, and project costing while also leading a carpentry team to ensure high-quality furniture production, timely delivery, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs for interior and furniture projects. Read, interpret, and develop technical drawings, layouts, and design specifications. Supervise carpenters in furniture construction, joinery, and assembly. Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure projects are completed on time. Implement strict quality control measures for design and production. Train, guide, and motivate team members to achieve project goals. Maintain safety standards, proper equipment use, and workshop organization. Coordinate procurement, materials, and inventory management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree/diploma in

Quantity Surveying / Interior Design

(preferred). Minimum 4-5

years of carpentry/furniture experience

, with

2+ years in a supervisory role

. Strong knowledge of woodworking, joinery, and interior fit-out processes. Proven experience in

estimation, costing, and project coordination

. Ability to read and prepare technical drawings and design documentation. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD or similar).
