Job Description

We are seeking a

proactive and technically skilled QA/QC Engineer - Civil

to join our construction team in Dubai. This is an on-site role reporting to the

QA/QC Manager / Project Manager

, responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control procedures across civil construction works.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in

civil engineering

, extensive experience in

quality management systems

, and hands-on experience with inspection, testing, and documentation of civil works in line with international and local standards.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain the project

Quality Management System (QMS)

as per contract specifications and applicable codes. Review project drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure quality requirements are understood and applied. Conduct inspections and tests on civil works, including

formwork, reinforcement, concrete pouring, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing

, etc., following approved

ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans)

. Raise

Inspection Requests (IRs)

and coordinate with consultants for timely approvals. Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, standards, and project specifications. Coordinate with construction, procurement, and subcontractor teams to verify the quality of materials and workmanship. Maintain records of inspections, test results, material approvals, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions. Assist in

root cause analysis

and implement preventive measures for recurring quality issues. Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, logs, reports, and as-built submissions. Support the QA/QC Manager in audits, compliance reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

(mandatory). Minimum

6-7 years of experience

in civil construction projects, with focus on QA/QC. Solid knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards (

ACI, BS, ASTM, ISO

). Experience working with consultants, clients, and third-party testing agencies. Knowledge of local authority requirements and project-specific quality standards (

Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees

).

Key Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of QA/QC practices and

ISO 9001

standards. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and test reports accurately. Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement. Excellent documentation and reporting skills. Proficient in

MS Office

(Excel, Word);

AutoCAD

knowledge is a plus.
