Convert engineering design sketches into detailed CAD/Revit models.
Update drawings based on site instructions, RFI responses, revised IFC drawings, or consultant comments.
Ensure drawings comply with
Dubai Municipality (DM)

DDA
, and other authority standards.
Maintain drawing logs, revision histories, and proper document control.
2. Coordination
Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, MEP teams, and site engineers to resolve drawing inconsistencies.
Attend coordination meetings with the engineering team to clarify design requirements.
Incorporate builder's work requirements and site conditions into drawings.
3. Site Support
Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and collect information for accurate drafting.
Provide technical assistance to site engineers and supervisors regarding reinforcement detailing, section details, and structural connections.
Prepare updated shop drawings reflecting site modifications, deviations, and approved change requests.
4. Compliance & Quality
Ensure structural drawings adhere to project specifications, international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocode), and client requirements.
Check for clashes, detailing errors, and constructability issues before submission.
Support QA/QC team during inspections related to drawings and reinforcement detailing.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering or Drafting.
Minimum
3-6 years
drafting experience in
high-rise building construction
in Dubai or GCC.
Strong expertise in
AutoCAD
,
Revit
, and Microsoft Office.
Good understanding of structural elements: slabs, beams, columns, shear walls, foundations, core walls, rebar detailing.
Knowledge of Dubai authority standards and submission requirements.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Good communication and coordination skills.
