A Pump Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of pumps, including centrifugal, submersible, diaphragm, gear, and other mechanical pump systems. The role requires knowledge of pump operations and the ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
Install, maintain, and repair pumps and related equipment.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine solutions.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on pump systems.
Inspect and test pumps to ensure functionality and performance.
Dismantle pumps and repair or replace defective parts such as impellers, seals, bearings, and shafts.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
Operate tools and equipment safely and correctly.
Collaborate with engineers or supervisors to improve system performance.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
