. This role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing concrete boom pumps and related hydraulic components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of concrete boom pumps, with emphasis on hydraulic systems.
Troubleshoot hydraulic malfunctions, identify faulty components, and carry out repairs or replacements.
Conduct regular inspections of boom arms, valves, hoses, cylinders, and hydraulic pumps.
Test and calibrate hydraulic systems to manufacturer specifications.
Read and interpret technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, and diagnostic software.
Assist with preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate service records.
Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety standards and ready for field operation.
Communicate effectively with operations and workshop staff regarding equipment status and repairs.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the workshop and job site.
Occasionally provide on-site support for emergency breakdowns.
Qualifications:
Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical, Hydraulic, or Automotive Engineering.
Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on experience with concrete boom pumps or similar heavy machinery.
In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with manufacturers such as Putzmeister, Schwing, or Zoomlion is a plus.
Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical documents.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Proficient with tools and equipment used in heavy machinery maintenance.
Valid driver's license; CDL or heavy vehicle license is an advantage.
Desirable Skills:
Basic knowledge of electrical systems used in pump equipment.
Welding or fabrication experience.
Understanding of safety and regulatory standards related to construction equipment.
