Nauru Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated
Public Health Administrator
to support the planning, coordination, and management of public health programs and administrative functions. The role focuses on strengthening public health systems, ensuring compliance with policies, and supporting service delivery across community and clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and monitor public health programs and initiatives.
Support implementation of national public health policies, strategies, and guidelines.
Oversee administrative operations related to public health services.
Collect, analyze, and report public health data and statistics.
Coordinate with clinical teams, government stakeholders, and external partners.
Support disease prevention, health promotion, and community outreach programs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, reporting, and documentation requirements.
Assist in budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation for public health activities.
Contribute to monitoring and evaluation, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in public health administration or health program management.
Strong knowledge of public health systems, policies, and reporting requirements.
Experience in data management, reporting, and program coordination.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Willingness to work in a remote or island healthcare setting.
Desirable Criteria
Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) or Health Administration.
Experience working in government, public health agencies, or remote healthcare settings.
Knowledge of communicable disease control and health promotion programs.
Experience working in multicultural environments.
