Protection Engineer

Full-Time Contract (12 months) (Extendable)

Salary:

13,000 QAR per month

Job Overview:

As a protection engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining protection systems to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical infrastructure. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies for effective system protection and fault management, contributing to the overall safety of the electrical network.

Key Responsibilities

:

Design and implement protection schemes for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards Conduct system studies, including short-circuit analysis, relay coordination, and load flow studies Troubleshoot and resolve protection system issues, providing timely support during outages or disturbances Collaborate with project teams to integrate protection systems into new and existing installations Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and manuals Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical protection Provide training and support to junior engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in protection engineering or a similar role Experience in Kahramaa will be considered an added advantage
