A Fire Protection Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of buildings and occupants by designing, implementing, and maintaining fire protection systems. They conduct assessments, develop solutions for fire safety, and collaborate with teams to address potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Design fire detection and suppression systems for buildings.
Perform site visits to assess fire safety measures and compliance.
Create detailed engineering plans and specifications.
Collaborate with architects and construction teams on fire protection integration.
Conduct fire safety audits and inspections.
Stay updated on fire codes and regulations.
Analyze risks and propose improvements for fire prevention.
Coordinate with authorities for permits and approvals.
Provide training and guidance on fire safety protocols.
Conduct performance tests on fire protection systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
Experience with AutoCAD and other design software.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
