The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of interior fit-out projects within the commercial and hospitality sectors. This role involves managing all aspects of project delivery -- from design coordination and procurement to site execution and client handover. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in interior fit-out, a strong understanding of materials and construction methods, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and manage all phases of interior fit-out projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent and project requirements are met.
Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to identify discrepancies or potential issues early.
Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Supervise site activities, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project standards and local regulations.
Monitor progress and performance, proactively managing risks, delays, and variations.
Conduct regular site meetings and prepare progress reports for stakeholders.
Oversee procurement and logistics of materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.
Ensure high standards of workmanship and adherence to design and specification details.
Manage project handover, snag lists, and final documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in project management within the
interior fit-out industry
, particularly in
commercial (offices, retail spaces)
and
hospitality (hotels, restaurants)
projects.
Proven track record of delivering turnkey fit-out projects on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of fit-out materials, finishes, MEP coordination, and joinery.
Excellent project planning and organizational skills.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and AutoCAD or related software.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management practices.
