The Project Manager - Fit-Out is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering interior fit-out projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing the full project lifecycle--from design coordination and procurement to site execution and handover--while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Coordination
Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
Coordinate with designers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure all design drawings, specifications, and approvals are in place before execution.
2. Budget & Cost Control
Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost estimates.
Approve variations and manage cost control to avoid overruns.
Ensure timely invoicing and payment collection.
3. Site Execution & Quality Control
Supervise site activities to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to specifications.
Monitor progress and resolve site issues promptly.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
4. Stakeholder Management
Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Conduct regular progress meetings and issue reports.
Manage client expectations and handle change requests professionally.
5. Procurement & Logistics
Source and negotiate with suppliers for materials and services.
Monitor lead times and ensure timely delivery to avoid project delays.
6. Handover & Project Closure
Oversee snagging, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
Ensure completion of as-built drawings, warranties, and manuals.
Conduct post-project reviews to improve future project delivery.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in interior fit-out project management.
Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, and construction methods.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
