The Project Manager - Civil Works will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing civil engineering projects according to deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources, coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants, and ensuring quality and compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and manage civil engineering projects from initiation to completion.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Manage on-site construction activities to ensure work is completed in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and subcontractors to determine project specifications and procedures.
Conduct regular site visits and progress reviews.
Prepare and present project reports and documentation to senior management and clients.
Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (required).
PMP or equivalent project management certification (preferred).
8+ years of experience in civil project management, including field experience.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, etc.).
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and risk management practices.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with government/public infrastructure projects.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
