What You'll Do

• Lead implementation and supervision of PLC and BMS projects, ensuring adherence to predefined designs and scope
• Supervise and troubleshoot PLC/controls operations and maintenance across customer service sites
• Coordinate with field teams to minimize operational disruptions and ensure system availability
• Drive system modifications, hardware/software improvements, and manage PLC backups
• Prepare and present technical reports, root cause analyses, and improvement recommendations
• Oversee SCADA-based monitoring of material flow and ensure accurate communication between control rooms and field staff
• Provide technical advice, training, and shift handovers to ensure continuity and operational safety
• Review design drawings, shop drawings, cable routing plans, and calculations for compatibility with project requirements
• Collaborate with designers, draftsmen, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to resolve technical issues
• Monitor material delivery, maintain records, and support inventory management
• Participate actively in testing, commissioning, and variation proposals with sales/presales teams
• Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, local codes, and international regulations throughout project execution

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electromechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of automation experience, with 3+ years in PLC/BMS project development and commissioning
• Expertise in Siemens PLCs (Step7, TIA), Allen-Bradley PLC & SCADA, HMIs (WinCC Flexible), drives (Siemens, SEW, Danfoss), and SCADA (WinCC)
• Experience in BMS systems (e.g., Johnson Controls Facility Explorer)
• Strong PLC diagnostic, fault-finding, and programming knowledge
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, project execution processes, and QS/QC practices
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational and leadership skills
• UAE driving license required
