Planning Engineer - Roads and Infrastructure Projects Dubai UAE
Role Summary
AECOM is seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to support its major roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects in Dubai. This role focuses on schedule development, cost control, earned value management, and project performance tracking. The ideal candidate will have strong experience using Primavera P6, a deep understanding of construction workflows, and the ability to analyze complex project data to drive informed decisions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6
• Create and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for infrastructure projects
• Perform cost and schedule variance analysis and monitor project health indicators
• Apply earned value management and change control methodologies
• Assist in establishing project baselines and analyzing financial and operational data
• Prepare regular reports and support project review meetings with stakeholders
• Monitor purchase orders, subcontract commitments, and expenditures
• Perform Time Impact Analysis and forecasting for delays and critical path adjustments
• Support cross-functional collaboration across engineering and construction teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning tools, systems, and processes

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum 10 years of experience in planning or project controls on major transport or infrastructure projects
• Advanced expertise in Oracle Primavera P6 and strong understanding of EVMS
• Proficient in WBS creation, time impact analysis, and claims-related reporting
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with an eye for detail
• Proven ability to coordinate across departments and support project decision-making
• Experience on transport sector projects is highly desirable
