Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve contractor material submissions and proposed construction methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer
  • Monitor daily site activities to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications
  • Prepare and maintain the Materials Engineer daily diary and inspection records
  • Conduct field inspections and oversee quality control processes during ongoing works
  • Review contractor testing requests and verify completed laboratory and field test reports
  • Attend factory visits and supplier plant inspections when required
  • Follow up on testing approvals and certifications from relevant authorities
  • Coordinate with contractor supervisory staff regarding work sequencing and material delivery schedules
  • Monitor compliance with contractor schedules and material performance standards
  • Prepare written and verbal reports addressing contractual, procedural, and quality matters
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in design, construction, and supervision of water pipelines, sewerage networks, rising mains, and pumping stations
  • Strong knowledge of Dubai's existing infrastructure networks
  • Hands-on experience with ISO9000 quality systems and inspection procedures
  • Dubai Central Laboratory approval required
  • Strong understanding of authority standards and compliance procedures
