Role Summary
The Wet Utilities Design Engineer - Dubai, UAE will join Parsons Corporation's infrastructure design team to deliver large-scale water, wastewater, sewerage, and irrigation projects. This role requires expertise in hydraulic modeling, utility network design, and authority approvals across the GCC. The position offers the opportunity to work on some of Dubai's most complex and high-profile engineering projects, ensuring compliance with authority regulations and global engineering standards.

What You'll Do

  • Independently develop and analyze hydraulic models for sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and firefighting networks
  • Use Bentley WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, OpenUtilities, and Civil 3D to prepare design reports and technical drawings
  • Support multi-disciplinary coordination, ensuring wet utility systems align with civil, structural, and MEP works
  • Prepare technical presentations, proposals, and reports for clients and regulatory authorities
  • Conduct demand load calculations for government and private developments in line with regional authority standards
  • Design wet utilities distribution systems, including pump stations, pipelines, and utility cross-sections compliant with local requirements (DEWA, DM, RTA, ADDC, ADWEA, etc.)
  • Liaise with government authorities to obtain NOCs, design approvals, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Provide input to CAD designers and junior engineers working on the same project
  • Support life-cycle cost analysis and technical evaluations under guidance of senior engineers
  • Apply British, American, and regional codes and standards for water and wastewater design projects
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Hydraulics, Water, Agriculture, or Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in wet utilities design for potable water, wastewater, and sewerage networks in the GCC
  • Master's degree is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and Bentley software (WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, OpenUtilities)
  • Strong knowledge of regional authority regulations (DEWA, DM, ADDC, ADWEA, DCD, etc.)
  • Familiarity with British and American codes for water and irrigation networks
  • Experience preparing utility cross-sections and pump station hydraulic designs
  • Strong communication skills with ability to liaise effectively with clients and regulatory authorities
