Responsibilities

Purchasing of raw materials and components, taking into account cost, quality and timeline considerations. Optimization of purchasing processes to ensure that all operational procurement activities can be carried out with the highest possible efficiency. Ensuring on-schedule production to meet customer demands. Alignment of production capacity and preparation of a cost-efficient production plan. Adjust key drivers for CX (e.g. lead times, safety stocks) and product costs (e.g. minimum order quantities, production lot sizes) to balance customer satisfaction and product costs.

Purchasing of Raw Materials and Components & Production Scheduling

· Create purchase orders, delivery schedules · Monitor order confirmations, delivery dates and quantities · Expedite deliveries if needed, define emergency and improvement plans with suppliers · Negotiate with suppliers on terms of delivery. · Create production orders · Monitor delivery dates and quantities of production orders · Align production capacity, by indicating upcoming demands · Expedite late production orders, align delays or capacity shortages with Front End Logistics/Customer Service

Experience (required): · Several years of experience as a Planner and/or Buyer · Good knowledge in SAP and MS-Office (esp. Excel) · Good English skills Experience (preferred): · Experience gained in a manufacturing company · Negotiating with suppliers · Capacity planning/scheduling with SAP · Supplier management Education (required): · Industrial Business Management Education or bachelor's degree Education (preferred): · Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering
