Job Description

We are looking for a highly capable

Production Manager

to lead and manage all production activities across our two steel fabrication workshops and surface coating yard. The role is responsible for ensuring monthly tonnage targets are achieved, resources are optimized, and all deliverables meet required quality, safety, and schedule standards. This position requires strong technical knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, blasting, and painting processes, as well as proven leadership in managing multi-facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Control

Develop and implement monthly and weekly production schedules in line with project requirements. Coordinate workloads between

2 fabrication workshops and the coating yard

to maximize efficiency. Monitor machine utilization, manpower productivity, and material availability. Review daily and weekly progress reports to ensure output targets are met.

Workshop & Yard Management

Oversee fabrication processes including cutting, fitting, welding, and assembly. Supervise blasting, painting, and surface coating activities to meet technical specifications. Lead Workshop Managers, Supervisors, and Foremen in executing production plans. Resolve bottlenecks and technical issues affecting workshop or coating yard performance.

Quality & Safety

Work closely with the QA/QC team to ensure all fabricated and coated materials meet inspection and client standards. Enforce compliance with

HSE policies

across all facilities. Drive initiatives to minimize rework, wastage, and downtime.

Resource & Cost Management

Manage manpower allocation across facilities to ensure balanced productivity. Ensure effective use of machines, consumables, and subcontracted services. Control production costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Leadership & Reporting

Provide clear direction and leadership to Workshop Managers and Supervisors. Mentor and develop production staff to build technical and supervisory capabilities. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly production reports with KPIs and variance analysis. Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering. 8-12 years of experience in

steel fabrication production management

, with exposure to blasting and painting/coating operations. Strong knowledge of workshop equipment, fabrication techniques, and coating systems. Proven ability to lead multi-facility operations with diverse teams. Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to ERP/production tracking systems is an advantage. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
