Job Summary:
Metaform Industries LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced
Production Manager
to lead and manage our
Structural Steel Fabrication
unit. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in structural steel production, with proven leadership capabilities in managing teams, ensuring quality output, meeting deadlines, and optimizing manufacturing efficiency. This role plays a critical part in delivering complex fabrication projects aligned with engineering and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire structural steel fabrication process from planning to execution.
Manage production schedules, manpower allocation, and daily shop floor activities.
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and delivery timelines.
Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement, and Project Management departments to align production targets.
Enforce health, safety, and quality standards across all production operations.
Supervise material handling, fabrication techniques (cutting, welding, assembly), and final inspection.
Monitor resource utilization and implement continuous improvements in efficiency and productivity.
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
Train, guide, and evaluate production personnel for skill development and performance.
Ensure compliance with ISO and other industry certifications and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Diploma holders with extensive experience may be considered).
Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar managerial role within structural steel fabrication.
Deep understanding of steel fabrication processes, including CNC cutting, welding, fitting, and painting.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as AWS, ASTM, AISC, or BS.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in interpreting fabrication drawings and managing ERP systems.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and production optimization is an advantage.
