By some estimates, consumers in Africa spend relatively up to ten times more of their disposable income on food compared to developed markets. On the other hand, smallholder farmers in fresh produce supply chains encounter multiple challenges that prevent them from achieving sustainable livelihoods through their farms. This economic challenge to food security is primarily caused by the highly fragmented and inefficient retail market across the continent, where roughly 90% consists of small independent retailers.

YoLa Fresh is aiming to be Africas largest fresh produce supply chain, which leverages technology and data to organize the agriculture commerce ecosystem. Our technology and Africa-centric solutions will disrupt the way fruits and vegetables move from farms to consumers' plates. We empower farmers and other players in the ecosystem in ways never done before. Our Supply Chain is equipped to move thousands tonnes of perishables from farms to businesses, every day, in less than 24 hours.

Are you passionate about tech solutions and fostering collaborative relationships? We are seeking a Tech Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in managing our relationship with our SaaS tech provider. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration, implementation, and optimization of technology to fit our processes. Your role will involve providing tech support to internal teams, leading the implementation of new features, and driving various IT projects, all while adopting a user-centric mindset. Responsibilities:

Oversee content updates, additions, and creations on the portal platform to ensure an accurate and engaging user experience.

Conduct thorough platform QA, meticulously reporting findings, and driving continuous improvements to uphold optimal performance standards.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical matters

Collaborate closely with the tech team to track progress against the roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Conduct regular assessments of sprint progress to guarantee the successful attainment of project objectives.

Provide hands-on technical support to internal teams for swift issue resolution and enhanced operational efficiency.

Led the seamless implementation of new features, conducting comprehensive testing, facilitating training sessions, and meticulously documenting processes.

Spearheaded the effective integration of ERP systems and master data management to streamline operations and enhance data accuracy.

Drive diverse IT projects, including the implementation of cutting-edge tech solutions, to optimize operational workflows and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Provide regular updates and transparent reporting to senior management on all tech-related matters, projects, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a tech-related role; tech vendor management experience preferred.

Solid understanding of SaaS solutions and ERP systems.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Fluency in English and Arabic or French.
